The Village Camping Fico d'India is located in one of the most suggestive and wonderful corners of the Ionian coast of Calabria at the exact point where the crystalline sea is kissed by the very fine peculiarity of the red sandy color intersected with the clayey sedimentary rocks. Established in Isola di Capo Rizzuto in the small hamlet of Le Cannella, the Camping is just 300 meters from the most historic, natural and wild beach of Curmo, listed at 594th place in the FAI ranking and designated the most beautiful of the marine reserve of Capo Rizzuto. Legend has it that Ulysses, the Achaean hero of Ithaca, set foot on our mainland several times during the time he spent on the island of Ogygia; in particular he tapped the natural water source of Curmo, which still flows and flows into our sea today.
