Punta Navaccia Camping Village lies along the shore of Lake Trasimeno, which has been declared a natural Park. Just a stones throw away from Tuscany, it is set among the green hills of Umbria, a region steeped in history and culture, called the green heart of Italy for the natural beauty of the land. The convenient location of the campground makes it easy to reach towns of great artistic and historic interest, such as Assisi, Perugia, Rome, Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Orvieto, etc., not to mention Tuoro sul Trasimeno itself, the site of the famous battle between the Romans and the Carthaginians in 217 BC, where today one can retrace the various stages of the battle.
Punta Navaccia covers 70,000 square meters, with 400 shady places, two heated swimming pools (1 for adults, 1 for children), 60 mobilhomes up to 6 people each, a small harbour with moorings for 200 boats, a large covered amphitheater, large-screen television and movies, activities led by animators in Italian, english, german, and dutch, childrens recreation, playground, disco, tennis, basketball, beach volley, football, ping pong, boat excursions, camper service, barbecue, a slip for boats, and the Federal Waterskiing School, as well as a bar, market, restaurant, and pizzeria.
The campground has a long, wide lakefront with docks and floating platforms. Windsurfing, sailing, and canoeing can be done from the sandy beach.The 8 x 3 mt mobilhomes are fully equipped for six people, with a living room, kitchenette, two bedrooms, bathroom, shower, heating, satellite TV, air-conditioning (upon request), and garden forniture.
