This camping site was the first receptive complex in the open air set up in Sardinia; it is located directly on the sea-shore in the middle of the Riviera del Corallo, in a wood of pines, eucalyptuses and junipers. Just one kilometre far from Alghero, a pleasant Catalan town with one of the most fascinating old town-centres of Sardinia, the camping site La Mariposa offers efficient services of bar, grocerís, self-service restaurant, private beach. Care, cleanness and kindness characterise the way the camping site has been managed for a long time. Beside equipped camping areas for tents, caravans and motor caravans (with sanitary station and light connection), the camping site offers also rooms with 2 beds, bungalows for 4 persons (use of kitchen, refrigerator, kitchenware, linen, light and gas included) caravans with 2 to 4 beds and mobile homes with 4 beds (like stone-built mini-apartments equipped in a modern way, with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room with kitchenette, refrigerator, kitchenware, linen, light, gas, external equipped veranda). In the surroundings of the camping site it is possible to play football, tennis, to go riding, diving, sailing, surfing and to rent bikes, motorbikes, cars, rubber dinghies. Alghero, not only offers boat trips and guided tours to the renowned caves of Neptune close to the cliff of Capo Caccia, to the Nuraghe Palmavera and to the necropolis of Anghelu Ruju, it is also renowned for its animated night life and for its small restaurants offering Catalan fish specialities and typical Sardinian cuisine. The camping site La Mariposa waits for you for a pleasant holiday from 1st April to 30th October with the possibility of making reservations during the whole year.
