The Camping Miraflores is 2 km from the centre of Rapallo, a seaside resort, which due to it's geographical position is in the centre of the Tigullio Gulf. Furthermore the campsite offers a hot food service, has a bar and mini-market.
Buses to the centre: The bus stop is 300 mt. from the campsite and there are buses ever 20 min. To visit Rapallo get off at the end the line in Piazza delle Nazioni. This square is adjacent to the pedestrian area of the storical and commercial centers and from here you can reach the seafront.
Boat trips: S. Margherita Ligure - Portofino - San Fruttuoso - Camogli - Cinque Terre
Boats leave from the pier on the seafront. It is possible to get of at any of the first four stops and continue the journey on foot in the beautiful walking paths and retake the boat at any of the other stops.Diving in Portofino's marine park. In S. Margherita you can find the European Diving Centre in the Valletta Beach Club sitated after the port. Besides renting equipment and refilling tanks the center offers guided immersion, scuba diving courses, underwater filming and photographic courses, showers and changing rooms. Furthermore the centre offers other watersports such as windsurf, watersking and it is also possible to rent small boats, canoes and banana boats.
Beaches
Rapallo: moving away from the seafront on foot in the direction of the Porticciolo there are a few small beaches otherwise one can find on the road to Portofino a small bay called S. Michele where there are more beaches, this bay is reachable by bus or on foot as it is only 1 Km from Rapallo. Here if you leave the main beach and walk along the coastline it is possible to reach other inlets in the rocky coastline. At the end of the port of S. Margherita Ligure. Along the road to Portofino there is a strech of both public and private beaches. If you continue you arrive at Paraggi (1,5 Km from Portofino) a beautiful little bay where the water is a lovely emerald colour. Once you've reached Portofino you can go on only foot on by boat, arriving at another beautiful bay-S. Fruttuoso. Public swimming pools. Adjacent to the campsite is Rapallo's olimpic (50 mt.) swimming pool and a smaller one for children, inside there is a gym, bar and ping-pong table. Cable car excursion - a Sanctuaryu to be visited
The Montallegro Sanctuary holds a wonderful panoramic position wich can be easily reached by a clable car in just seven minutes. Once reaching the Sanctuary many old muletracks open up which link Montallegro to Uscio, Cicagna, Chiavari, inland Liguria and there are also tracks for mountain bikers and hikers.
Acquarium: The Acquarium of Genova is a spectacular building, unique in Europe for the size of the tanks and the technological solutions as well as for aesthetical features adopted. It's 50 tanks, 4 of wich have oceanic dimensions host over 1.000 different types of fish.
Food: In the Storical Center of Rapallo as well as other areas you can find typical restaurants and trattorie where you can taste traditional ligurian cooking. Whatsmore from all the bakers you can buy the famous genoese focaccia and farinata.
